Through the Lens- Creating Santa Fe

The culmination of many years work involving the participation of diverse members of the Santa Fe community, Through the Lens, Creating Santa Fe chronicles, through hundreds of photographs and many essays, the creation of "The City Different", as both a semi-mythological destination (a Sagebrush Shangri-la!) and real place. It is also a city that is about to celebrate it's 400th anniversary.

The book features photos from the mid-19th century to present, showing views of the people and structures that make up one of the most unique cities in the United States and the world. Through The Lens, is printed in tandem with an exhibit at the Palace of the Governors by the same name, and examines the role that photography has had in documenting the transitions of the city and its inhabitants.
