Terry Davis began to paint as a way of entering back into the creative process that had been such a strong part of her life, after working as a potter for 18 years. She had to stop working in clay, because of tendonitis in 1993. Terry started painting again, which let her continue her artistic expression with less strain on her arms. Terry studied painting, drawing and printmaking as an art major in college.
Terry’s paintings are intimate views from her immediate world, often painted within miles from where she lives in Valdez, north of Taos. The paintings in this calendar is Terry’s love letter to the seasons of New Mexico.
