Descended from Greek and French origins, Christophe Poly immigrated to Canada at the age of eight. Growing up he was quick to develop a passion for the arts which he inherited from his mother, a fashion designer. From his father, an entrepreneur, he inherited the drive and the ambition that allowed him to build concrete items from his own creativity and skills.

Christophe began his jewelry career after taking a course at the “École de joaillerie et de métaux d’art de Montréal”. He rapidly perfected the basic skills of soldering, polishing and designing, first working for others and later for himself. Over time he elaborated on these basic skills to develop his own innovative style and techniques that today characterizes his work.

Christophe's jewelry is entirely handmade at his studio located in Montreal, Canada.  The work is based on an architectural concept using brass, aluminum, acrylic, rubber and leather.  The process involves the cutting and forming of multiple small parts cut out of wire, plate and tubing.  The pieces are then assembled in a complex three dimensional construction.  Comfort and originality are at the heart of his creative process.

Christophe has a passion for finding beauty in everyday objects. He is fascinated by their volume, structure and shape. Over time he has developed an innovative style and technique that is unique and distinct to his work. Christophe's interest for travel, fashion, design and architecture contribute to his creativity.  He is a long time member of the Québec Craft Council (CMAQ).  Christophe's jewelry can be seen in many fine galleries, boutiques and museums across North America.
