Charlene Reano Mosaic Teardrop Earrings

These teardrop shaped earrings by Charlene give the appearance of intricate and colorful tiles.  A mosaic pattern of turquoise overlay backed on shell with accents of mother of pearl and spiny oyster.  A perfect accessory to any outfit.

Charlene Reano often collaborates with her husband, Frank Reano, from Santo Domingo Pueblo. She was taught to inlay shell with mosaic motifs by her sister-in-law, Angie Reano Owen. The type of inlay work created by Charlene and her in-laws has a revered history dating back to their Anasazi ancestors. Stunning earrings and pendants have been unearthed from ancient dwellings--extraordinary pieces made by patient hands one thousand years ago.
