Castilian Accent Table

Most 18th and 19th century Spanish furniture was made using mortis and tenon construction. Spindles or decorative rails were also used as decorative motifs and to ensure stability. The inspiration for the spindle column of the Castilian table came from several pieces in the Spanish furniture collection in the Museum of International Folk Art, Santa Fe, New Mexico. The table has a gold and brass finish.
