Charlene Reano often collaborates with her husband, Frank Reano, from Santo Domingo Pueblo. She was taught to inlay shell with mosaic motifs by her sister-in-law, Angie Reano Owen. The type of inlay work created by Charlene and her in-laws has a revered history dating back to their Anasazi ancestors. Stunning earrings and pendants have been unearthed from ancient dwellings--extraordinary pieces made by patient hands one thousand years ago.
Mosaic inlay earrings featuring turquoise, mother of pearl, and lapis on shell backing. Measures 1 3/4" long on 1/4" drop.
