Harrison Bitsue grew up in a family of silversmiths.  His grandfather, Charlie Bitsue, can be found in some of the early books about Navajo jewelry.  The trader C.G. Wallace provided him with work.  Charlie would make the silver housing for the Zuni inlayers.  Harrision made his first cast pieces--rings and najas--when he was 7 years old.
