Gorky Gonzalez Dinner Plate

Gorky González began his studies under his father, the sculptor Rodolfo Gonzalez. In 1963 he founded Alfareria Tradicional, a pottery work shop in Guanajuato in order to reproduce and revive the traditional Majolica of the region.  Today, his son, Gogo, and family carry on the tradition that his father carefully built and continues with their traditional craftsmanship. Their pottery workshop devotes itself to the preservation of the traditional Majolica technique in Mexico, utilizing the original designs used during the colonial period.

Handcrafted in the Gorky González Ceramic Studio in Guanajuato, Mexico this pottery is lead and cadmium free, chip and crack resistant, as well as microwave, oven and dishwasher safe. Due to the handmade nature of Gorky pottery, colors and design vary. Measures 12".
