Edith John Folk Art Chicken

Navajo folk art are interpretations of everyday objects such as animals and people that the Navajo artist fashions from wood, clay or other natural materials. Edith John started carving cottonwood for fun to make toys for her children and it eventually evolved into a key source of income for her family. Each piece is hand painted with an added straw tail and signed Edith John on the bottom.
