Mary Tafoya Turquoise Fish Necklace

Mary Tafoya is known for her contemporary take on the ancient art of mosaic inlay, creating pictures with the stones and shells that she crafts in the traditional manner. Her unique pieces are like small paintings, incorporating vibrant, contrasting colors of her natural materials, and utilizing the natural shapes of shells. She works with inlaid stones and her exuberant pieces in turquoise and jet and mother-of-pearl are widely admired.

Free-form inlay designs made using natural stones shells and turquoise. The necklace measures 18", and the pendant is 2.5" by 1". Hallmarked ML Tafoya.

It’s a lovely design, thus the 5-stars, but one star for wearability.

But note that I returned the necklace. It is too large for my body. And I would prefer the fish to hand horizontally, head to tail.
