This Navajo Germantown rug was woven by Nellie Dean and measures 56" x 38".
Nearly 150 years ago, traders provided the Navajo with brightly colored factory-made yarns for their weaving from, you guessed it, Germantown, Pennsylvania. These pieces are known for their eye-dazzling color schemes and varied stylizations. One of the most unique aspects of this type of Navajo rug is the addition of the fringe after the rug is woven.
