First created in woven form nearly 100 years ago, Sandpainting Rugs depict the sacred healing and restorative powers behind their illustrious culture. Often representing the graphic and sacred renderings of the Navajo’s religious world, Sandpainting Rugs are depictions of purification and blessing rituals. Common elements include snakes, feathers, lizards, and whirling logs.
