Day of the Dead retablos are a signature folk art item from Central and South America. Each figure is made by hand from a mixture of plaster, and then intricately painted. The scene is displayed within a wooden box with hand painted doors and signed by the artist, Jesús Sánchez Avendaño, on the back.
Measures 8"h x 4"w x 2"d with doors closed and 8" wide with doors open. Each piece is hand crafted, so there may be some differences in colors and details. Made in Peru.
