The Woman Voter Card

Inez Milholland Boissevain was the first of four mounted heralds in the March 3, 1913 suffrage parade in Washington, D.C. In this piece, Inez carries the suffragists' flag bearing the cause's colors. The Woman Voterwas a monthly journal started in 1910 by Carrie Chapman Catt's Woman Suffrage Party in New York City. It was sent to members with news of party activities and editorials on the women's suffrage struggle.
