Veronica Benally is a prize-winning, highly reputed artist. She is known for her beautifully made and elegant inlaid jewelry hand-set in sterling silver. Veronica first learned the art of jewelry making from her husband, Ernest. Dedicated to her family, it was an opportunity to provide for her children in a way that still allowed her to remain close to them at home. Working alongside her husband for several years, Veronica developed her own distinctive style and approach to jewelry design that melds tradition, culture, color and nature. Veronica, along with her husband Ernest, have won numerous awards for their metal work, including First Place in Jewelry at the Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair and First and Second Place in the Santa Fe Indian Market Bracelet and Necklace divisions.
This cuff by Veronica Benally combines rows of inlay onyx, coral, and turquoise. Individually shaped and placed alongside each other in a silver shadow box the cuff is finished with a unique stamped design on the shank. Stamped "Sterling" and hallmarked "V. Benally". Measures 6 3/4" with a 1" opening.
