This Yei Rug woven by Bertha Woolboy measures 37" x 48".
Hozho is a recurring theme in the creation story of the Navajo “Dine” people, meaning attainment and maintenance of harmony and beauty. In this theme, beauty is created or expressed rather than observed. In the Navajo creation story, there exists numerous persona identified as holy people, or Yei Be Chei, who exemplify the concepts of the Hozho. The Yei Be Chei dancers are the human impersonators who are depicted in various ways in weavings.
