The Museum of New Mexico Foundation (MNMF) was founded in 1962 as a vehicle for providing private support for the five state museums in Santa Fe, and has since expanded to including support to eight history sites statewide and the Office of Archaeological Studies. Our role and impact in supporting one of the country’s largest state-run museum systems remains vital to the advancement of the art, history and culture of New Mexico and the world.
We are committed to extending the museum experience to our guests through our shops. You will find a wide assortment of high-quality arts and crafts, one-of-a-kind gifts, exhibit-related books and merchandise, exclusive MNMF products, and other artisan made products for sale. We pride ourselves on our extensive inventory purchased directly from artists and our selection of both local and fair-trade products.
The revenue from your purchase directly supports the Foundation’s fundraising initiatives, which in turn, generate funding for museum exhibitions, education, and public programs. Through these fundraising efforts, we have engaged with over 400,000 people yearly from around the world. These efforts also fund expansion efforts, such as the Centennial Campaign for the New Mexico Museum of Art to expand into the Vladem Contemporary.
