Composite art piece by Japanese artist Junya Kono. This piece tells the story of MOKUMOKUREN, or Serial-Eyes and translation of the story is included below. Framed work measures 11"x14".
Countless eyes open on the shoji (paper sliding door) left behind in an abandoned house and look at you. The saying "walls have ears, shoji have eyes," means that you never know who is listening to your secret conversations, but it seems that the feeling that someone is watching you from somewhere you are not aware of is a common occurrence in Japan and abroad.
