Anthony Lovato Kingman Turquoise Elk Bolo

A striking portrait of an elk with a gorgeous chunk of Kingman turquoise makes up this unique bolo by esteemed jeweler Anthony Lovato.

Tufa is a compressed volcanic ash material. When casting, the artist hand-carves a design into tufa stone – creating a negative space for molten metal to be poured. The use of tufa creates a beautiful, earthy pebble like texture on the silver.

Anthony Lovato is best known for his Tufa Cast jewelry, often featuring petroglyph and pictograph symbols. He is the son of notable lapidary artist Mary Coriz Lovato, and grandson of Santiago Leo Coriz. He is fifth-generation from Kewa Pueblo (Santo Domingo Pueblo).

Bolo measures 2" x 2.5", cord is 32" total.
