A striking yet elegant, layered, collar necklace with wooden spikes. This piece is an ode to original Maasai adornments made in a time when only natural materials were used for beautification. With coconut wood and our modern design sensibility, we have reimagined tribal designs. Pair this with your open blazer or crisp collared shirt for added edge.

    • A combination of high quality glass beads, coconut palm wood finished with leather panels.
    • Adjustable beaded closure.
    • Length: 20"
    • Handmade by Maasai women in Arusha, Tanzania.

This piece is handmade by one of 120 Maasai beaders in Tanzania. Sidai Designs specializes in creating unique, contemporary beaded designs that appeal to a global market. They are invested in upskilling and educating their artisans and run workshops to improve their skills and knowledge.

    Unexpectedly classic!

I bought this to wear with simple tops, for a bit of pizzazz. It is just lovely -- light weight and easy to wear, and elegant, textural and pretty. People love it (I still am mostly using it with simple tops) and I have plans for pairing it with some things that are slightly less simple. It is not only lovely to look at but a pleasure to "play" with in putting together an outfit -- from jeans to beyond.
