Ukrainian folk artist Maria Prymachenko was born in the village of Bolotnia, in the Kyiv region in 1909. She is known for her mythological creatures inspired by folk legends and fairytales. 

Vilnodumni is a Ukrainian collective committed to keeping Ukrainian artists and their culture strong, they seek to popularize the work of artists and cultural motifs through modern day apparel and accessories.
