Discover the visionary world of Alexander Girard. The Museum of International Folk Art (MOIFA) is proud to announce the release of Alexander Girard’s Imagined Worlds in Spring 2026. Published by Hirmer Publishers in association with MOIFA, the 432-page volume will be available in mid-March 2026. 

This major publication is the first in more than two decades to examine Multiple Visions: A Common Bond, the singular exhibition curated and designed by Santa Fe–based mid-century architect and designer Alexander H. Girard. On continuous view since 1982 in MOIFA’s Girard Wing, Multiple Visions features Girard’s extraordinary collections of global folk art and toys, alongside materials from his archives. The book includes 16 newly commissioned essays and more than 300 illustrations.
