Spiritual Harvest Yoruba African Wood Mask

This mask of solemn beauty is known as Obuluw by the Yoruba people of Nigeria. Meaning 'spiritual face,' it is worn by the fetish priest when consulting the gods to ask for a favorable planting season. Ghana's Awudu Saaed creates a spectacular sese wood replica which is carved by hand and decorated with embossed brass on the forehead.
