Peter Ray James Large Navajo Bear

Navajo artist, Peter Ray James, is a creator of Spiritual Fabric Art.  Hand made and hand sewn, this stuffed, soft sculpture by Peter is painted in handsome colors of various and complex designs.  Natural feathers complete the look.  Each one is unique in design and painted colors.  Enjoy it on its own or as part of an installation of a variety of art.  Signed and dated.

Peter Ray James is a 1984 honors graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts of Santa Fe, New Mexico. He also attended the Parsons School of Design in New York City. Peter introduced his art to the competitive Indian Art world in the spring of 1988. Since then he has sold a little over 1,200 masks and 900 canvases. His art has been on album covers, prominent art show posters and numerous newspaper and magazine covers.
