Ramson Lomatewama is a member of the Eagle Clan of the Hopi Tribe of Arizona. Although raised in Flagstaff, Ramson participated in traditional Hopi life by going to the reservation on weekends. He became a well-known kachina doll carver at a young age, but later became fascinated with stained glass and began his career in glass blowing. He is best known for his blown and hand-sculpted glass spirit figures and corn maidens, which are drawn from classic Hopi iconography, in particular rock art in Horseshoe Canyon in Canyonlands National Park, Utah.
Spirit figure measures 7" tall. Hallmarked and dated on the base. Please note that this piece is handmade, so no two are exactly alike in size, shape, or color.
